The Egyptian National Library and Archives (Dar Al-Kutub), established in 1870 in Cairo, is the largest library in Egypt and the first in the Middle East. It houses millions of volumes and rare Arabic manuscripts, with a specialized annex for national archives documenting Egyptian history from the Fatimid era, located on the Nile Corniche.
